The Dish Network is clicking on all cylinders, based on quarterly results announced today.
Echostar Communications Corp reported net income of $318 million, compared to a loss of $43 million last year, according to the Associated Press. Revenue was up from $1.58 billion to $2.02 billion, the article said.
Echostar's Dish Network service added 325,000 customers during the quarter, no doubt including a few in Joplin and other communities in which Nexstar Broadcasting and Mission Broadcasting local stations have been pulled from cable.
