First quarter income was down at Beverly Enterprises, according to Arkansas Business Today. The nursing home chain, which once had several homes in southwest Missouri and still has one in Anderson, reported net income of $14.7 million, or 12 cents per diluted share, down from the $23.4 million, or 20 cents per diluted share, it reported last year.
The drop was attributed to the company's ongoing auction process. It put itself up for bid last month.
