Net sales for the Jarden Corporation were up 229 percent in the third quarter, according to PR Newswire.
A total of $521.3 million in sales were reported, compared to $158.3 million last year.
Martin E. Franklin, chairman and chief executive, said, "We are extremely pleased by the overall performance of our business units during the first quarter, particularly as we worked to integrate the American Household acquisition. A healthy performance in our Outdoor Solutions segment, whose seasonality favors the first and second quarters, helped Jarden exceed its operating targets as a whole for the first quarter," according to the news release.
Jarden bought American Household,owner of the Sunbeam plant in Neosho, earlier this year.
