Fortress bidding for psychiatric hospitals

Fortress Investment, new owners of The Neosho Daily News, The Carthage Press, and the Big Nickel, as well as 300 other Liberty Group Publishing newspapers, is involved in the auction for Priory Healthcare, a chain of private psychiatric hospitals in Great Britain, according to the London Daily Telegraph.
The final bids for the hospitals, which have become a trendy place for celebrities to go, are scheduled for tomorrow, the article said. The Telegraph described Fortress as a "secretive American hedge fund."
As previously noted in The Turner Report, Fortress also owns the debt of pop singer Michael Jackson. The collateral for that debt includes the publishing rights to Jackson's songs and a 50 percent share in the publishing rights to the Beatles' songs.
