Fundraiser planned for accident victim

Pass around the word that a fundraising hamburger and hot dog cookout has been scheduled for 5 p.m. Friday, July 29, at the Council House, across from Seneca High School, to offset medical costs for Katherine Oxford, who was seriously injured in an auto accident June 19 on Highway 60, east of Seneca. A pie and cake auction will also be held.
Mrs. Oxford suffered several broken bones and her medical care is expected to continue for months and maybe even years. She is being cared for by her husband, Darin, and other family members.
Seneca area businesses have donated various services and items to be auctioned off at the cookout. Items are being accepted. Two raffles for $50 worth of gas at Gas-n-Snack are being held with tickets available from Maryann Anderson, 417-776-1246, Poncho King, 417-438-9632, or Michael Steele, 417-776-2251.
Monetary contributions may be made at any Community Bank & Trust branch. Online donations may be made through www.paypal.com under the e-mail address oxfordchiro@netins.net
