Lamar comes through for Relay for Life

The city of Lamar has been rocked in recent days by the massive layoff at O'Sullivan Industries, but that didn't keep residents from reaching into their pocketbooks to help battle cancer.
The annual Relay for Life, held last weekend, raised well over $40,000. The event included 87 survivors and 32 teams, a survivor lap, baby show, softball tournament, luminaria service, and food and games all through the night.
Congratulations to the hard working committee that put on the event.
