The Missouri Highway and Transportation Commission's decision to earmark money for a Bella Vista bypass is detailed in today's Springdale Morning News.
The decision was included in the five-year plan approved by Commission officials Friday. The plan covers the years 2006-2010 with the first major funding for the Bella Vista bypass coming in 2007 and 2008, the article said.
The 19-mile bypass, approximately 25 percent of which will be built and paid for by Missouri is designed to eventually be part of the new Interstate 49 from New Orleans to Kansas City.
