Moark info headed to prosecuting attorney

KODE reported during its 6 p.m. newscast today that Newton County Sheriff Ken Copeland will turn over to the prosecuting attorney the results of his department's investigation into Moark's disposal of live chickens.
The investigation began after Rick Bussey, Neosho, videotaped the disposal on two successive days, according to print reports.
Moark claims that it was people who contracted with the company who were responsible for the mistreatment of the chickens.

Moark is vigorously pointing fingers but the officer on the scene watched live chickens going into the dumpster shortly before being confronted by an individual who identified himself to the deputy as a Moark manager. This individual refused to allow entry to the deputy because they could not get hold of Dan Hudgens for permission. Dan had previously met the officer at the facility and later said on Ch 16 interview that he left two managers to watch the crew the rest of the evening.
