Pretrial conference set for accused double murderer

A pretrial hearing for accused double murderer Micah Holman, Carthage, on a separate felony domestic assault charge has been delayed until 1:15 p.m. Tuesday, July 19, in Judge Joseph Schoeberl's courtroom, according to Jasper County Circuit Court records.
The hearing had originally been scheduled for today, but a continuance was granted at the request of Holman's lawyer.
The next hearing in Holman's murder case is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Wednesday before Judge Richard Copeland. He is charged with two counts of first degree murder, two counts of armed criminal action, and one count each of arson and burglary in connection with the June 4 slayings of Marvin and Peggy Steverson, Carthage.
