Successful Relay for Life held in Lamar

As I mentioned earlier in The Turner Report, the annual Relay for Life in Lamar last weekend was a major success, garnering more than $40,000 for the American Cancer Society.
The planning committee for the event consisted of Amy Neher, Terri Baldwin, Linda Hasson, James Epple, Lajuana McIntyre, Tiffany Owings, John Davis, Kenda Dunagan, Elaine Davis, Carla Lintner, Kent Morey, Bev Arnold, Shelly Lyons, and Tammy Penrow.
Gold Level givers (more than $500) were: Barton County Electric Cooperative, Barton County Memorial Hospital, Lamar Bank & Trust Company, Metropolitan National Bank, Mid-Am Metal Forming, Inc., O'Sullivan Industries, Summer Fresh Supermarkets, Shelter Insurance, Tom Combs; Thorco Industries, Inc., U. S. Bank.
Silver Level ($250) Finley Engineering, Inc.
Bronze Level ($100) Barton County Oil, Casey's General Store, Central States Automation, Inc., Golden Business Forms, Hooked On Travel and Cruises, Isenhower Lumber Company, McManis Insurance Association LLC, Produce Exchange, St. John's Medical Center at Lamar.
Food items and activities were sponsored by: AOK Volunteens, Barton County 4-H, Barton County Chamber of Commerce, The Starbursts, Braker Family & Friends, The Brasher Bunch, Cheyenne's Team, Hog Wild for a Cancer Cure, Finley Engineering, Hats off for Landon, Heavenly Hillbillies, Helen's Angels, Helping Hearts, Lamar Bank & Trust Company, Lamar Lions, Metro Meteorites, O'Sullivan Industries, Reazd Daizd --n-Confused, Shockers, Mandy's Angels, Taylor Quarrie, with some of the groups listed above also supplying relay walkers for the event.
The Relay for Life also featured the following:
