Revenues down for Nexstar Broadcasting

The good news for Nexstar Broadcasting is that CEO Perry Sook is expecting "to quickly recapture operating leverage as expected sales momentum returns in 2006."
The bad news is that means things aren't so hot in 2005.
Nexstar, owner of KSNF in Joplin and KSFX in Springfield and de facto owner of KODE in Joplin and KOLR in Springfield, issued a press release today reporting net revenue for the second quarter was $57.9 million, down 5.4 percent from the $61.2 million recorded in the second quarter last year, while capital expenditures were $4.2 million, up from $1.7 million in 2004. The company's total debt as of June 30, 2005, was $648.3 million, while cash balances were at $10.3 million, the news release said.
