Blunt campaign finance documents subpoenaed

Today's Kansas City Star reports that campaign finance reports for Missouri Governor Matt Blunt have been subpoenaed by the prosecutor in the Tom DeLay case.
The Star took the unusual, but much welcomed step of noting that the story initially broke in the Fired Up Missouri blog run by former Jean Carnahan assistant Roy Temple. It has been rare to see mainstream newspapers or television stations, credit blogs for breaking stories, except in instances where it has been political gossip that the mainstream outlets want to run, but also want to distance themselves from.
