McCaskill staffer resigns after MySpace controversy

Travis Levitt, a staff member for State Auditor Claire McCaskill's U. S. Senate campaign, resigned today, following the revelation in the Source, a new blog, that he had put inappropriate comments on his MySpace blog.
Even as the Levitt resignation was being announced, the Source was already writing about the Facebook profile for another McCaskill staffer. Maybe she needs to look over job candidates' websites before she hires them.

I can remember the days when the Internet and e-mail was just coming into being. And I remember my boss' admonition about what employees should or shouldn't put in e-mail. "If you wouldn't want your grandmother to see it, don't put it in." Perhaps Claire's staffers should heed that advice.
