Independent candidate to deliver petitions Monday

It appears Gary Nodler will have opposition in the general election.
Independent candidate Kim Wright has already exceeded the number of petition signatures needed to qualify as an independent candidate for 32nd District state senator and she will conclude her petition drive Saturday at the Jasper County Youth Fair in Carthage, according to an e-mail sent to The Turner Report by her campaign.
Supporters are planning a sendoff for the candidate 4 p.m. Saturday at Ms. Wright's booth at the Youth Fair site at Municipal Park. She will leave at that time for Jefferson City and will deliver the petitions to the secretary of state's office Monday.
Once the petitions are verified, if she has enough valid signatures, her name will be placed on the ballot.
