FCC investigating Nexstar station

WFXW, the Nexstar Broadcasting station in Terre Haute, Ind., is being investigated by the FCC for its use of video news releases (VNRs), commercials that are disguised as news releases with actors playing reporters. Nexstar owns KSNF in Joplin and KSFX in Springfield, and operates KODE in Joplin and KOLR in Springfield
WFXW general manager Duane Lammers blamed CNN:

"It was on a CNN feed, so we don’t know if it even qualifies as a [video news release] or not,” said Lammers, who is also the chief executive officer for the station's parent company, Nexstar Broadcasting Group.

Darn that CNN!

Better get you facts straight. Mr Lammers is not the CEO of Nexstar.

My apologies: When I pasted the quote from the Terre Haute newspaper I should have noticed that it incorrectly referred to Lammers as the CEO, when in fact that position is held by Perry Sook. By the way, the word is your.
