Dake favors minimum wage increase, opposes stem cell research proposal

One of the most welcome entrants into the blogging world, KY3 Blog by Dave Catanese, political reporter for KYTV in Springfield, continues to get politicians on the record. The latest, in a post published Wednesday, is Rep. Charles Dake, D-Miller, who says he favors the proposal to increase the state minimum wage, but is against the expansion of stem cell research:

When asked about his similarities with Republicans on social issues, Dake said he doesn't run on Republican values. "I run on my values," Dake said. "It just so happens my values are sometimes shared by Republicans. I just have more compassion for seniors and the handicapped."
