Globe throws support behind Blunt

In what should come as a surprise to no one, the Joplin Globe endorsed Congressman Roy Blunt's re-election bid today.
Unlike the sharply worded recent editorial endorsement of the Springfield News-Leader, the Globe's editorial is a valentine to Blunt:

What Roy Blunt has accomplished — or has helped to accomplish — for the nation and on behalf of his congressional district has been impressive. But it is also a work in progress as issues evolve, crises rise and policy paradigms shift.
Southwest Missouri has had the foresight to keep Roy Blunt in Congress where he can help direct the nation and region in coming to grips with energy incentives, protecting the nation against terrorism, securing our borders and making permanent the tax cuts that have spurred our economy.

I guess the Globe editorial board loves Blunt's wasteful spending.

Again, a no brainer. Republican paper endorses Republican. The Globe is just to the right of Rush Limbaugh, and just about as smart.
