Tribune blog: Richard to try for Speaker of the House

Jason Rosenbaum at the Columbia Tribune reports Rep. Ron Richard, R-Joplin, will take a shot at the Speaker of the House position, currently held by Rod Jetton, R-Marble Hill. Jetton is in his last two-year term in the House:

"I believe that I have the ability of the two candidates to keep us on the issues that I think are important to the Republican Party," Richard said. "I think I’m pretty good fundraiser. And I’m just generally a good-natured fellow."

The other candidate for the position at this point is Rep. Allen Icet, R-Wildwood.

You would think Summer's Eve would make him their product spokesperson, since he is so representative of it.
