La-Z-Boy to close facilities in North Carolina, Mississippi

La-Z-Boy, a major employer in Neosho, announced today it would close a mill operation and two upholstery factories. According to Furniture Today:

La-Z-Boy said its upholstery factory in Iuka, Miss., will close in May, followed by the shutdown of its Lincolnton, N.C., upholstery plant in July.


Production at the plants will be shifted to Newton, Miss., Siloam Springs, Ark., Dayton, Tenn., Saltillo, Miss., and Sherman, Miss., according to a company news release.
