News-Leader editorial: House should investigate Ferrell, sexual harassment

The Missouri House of Representatives should follow the suggestion of Rep. Jeff Harris, D-Columbia, and investigate the Fred Ferrell sexual harassment case and alleged coverup.
That is the stance taken by the Springfield News-Leader's editorial board in today's edition:

In fact, Harris has handed an incredible opportunity to the Republican Party. What better way to put the Ferrell incident to bed than to show independence from Blunt's administration and the sort of fair-minded pursuit of the truth by conducting open hearings on what went wrong? Further, Harris suggests that the committee deal with sexual harassment throughout state government, including, perhaps, previous cases that didn't get the publicity Ferrell's did. Those Republicans who believe Attorney General Jay Nixon treated past cases differently from this one should jump at the chance to get Nixon before a House committee.
