Rep. Kevin Wilson's bill requiring group homes to install sprinkler systems has passed both houses and is on its way to the governor:
The Senate passed the legislation earlier this week 32-1, and the House voted 158-0 Thursday to send it to the governor.
"It feels great," said Rep. Kevin Wilson, R-Neosho, the legislation’s sponsor.
"I feel like the memories of those 11 people who died (are) being honored and remembered by the state."
Wilson, of course, was referring to the 11 who died in last November's fire at the Anderson Guest House.
