Former Neosho policeman's case transferred to McDonald County

The misdemeanor endangering the welfare of a child case against former Neosho police officer Justin Pickup will be heard in McDonald County Circuit Court, with Judge John LePage presiding, according to Newton County Circuit Court records.
Pickup's lawyer, Charles Rhoades, Neosho, had requested a change of judge and change of venue.
Pickup allegedly supplied vodka to 16-year-old Kassie Schenck, Neosho, shortly before she died in a one-car accident Dec. 21. Pickup, whose case is being prosecuted by the Missouri attorney general's office, is free on $5,000 bond.
