Mid-Year Review Part VI: January 2007

The annual mid-year review of stories that first appeared in The Turner Report concludes with a look at January 2007:

Jan. 25- A sexual harassment lawsuit was filed against the Joplin Globe.

Jan. 24- Archbishop John J. Liebrecht was dropped as a defendant in Glenna McKitterick's lawsuit against Catholic Church officials.

Jan. 19-
Matt Blunt contributor Bob Ney was sentenced to prison for his role in the Abramoff scandal.

Jan. 16- The Turner Report was the first state source to note that Sarcoxie native Tony Feather was put in charge of Mitt Romney's presidential campaign.

Jan. 11- Rep. Dennis Wood, R-Kimberling City, a realtor, offered a bill that would protect his own interests.

Jan. 9- Piling up nearly $4,000 in lobbyists' gifts, Rep. Steve Hunter, R-Joplin, topped all area officials.
