Cash bar planned for Graham campaign kickoff

A cash bar and appetizers will be available when Sen. Chuck Graham, D-Columbia, holds his campaign kickoff fundraiser next Friday, Oct. 26, at the Clinton Club at Mizzou Arena, according to a notice on the Boone County Democrats website.
Graham, who was arrested Saturday on suspicion of driving while intoxicated, has the following suggested giving levels for those wishing to contribute to his campaign:

-$100 for "division champions"
-$300 for "conference champions"
-$650 for "national champions"

No mention has been made if the event will take place as scheduled.

Your glee at this tragic event shows that you put your own party ahead of simple human decency. You must have jumped up and down with excitment when you heard this. More sick gutter politics.
What Senator Graham is accused of doing in inexcusable and he should be punished for it. It will be massively embarrassing and do real damage to an incredibly promising political career.
But for you to celebrate it, breathlessly posting 4 different articles about it, trying to find ways to blame the University, trying to find ways to imply that there's something dishonest or wrong about his finances when, in fact, there is nothing dishonest or wrong with them, is just sick and foul. Calling it yellow journalism would be mistaken, it's no journalism at all, it's just trash.

To Anonymous, Your comment is interesting. You accuse Randy of putting his party first, but Randy is a democrat just like Graham. You are right about the low level of Randy's gutter journalism, but wrong about his politics! It is because he is a democrat that he thinks in the gutter.

The headline is kinda funny. I mean "no-holds" bar-red.

Still, I think it could be possible that the Senator is going through a hard time - maybe loss in the family....

I believe Turner means "Cash Bar". Though Turner is against pay-to-play campaign finance and a big supporter of reform - whether conservative or not.

Graham is a drunk. Has been for years. Just because his constituents don't know it doesn't mean it isn't true. All of us here in the Capitol expected this to happen years ago. He's sloppy drunk most of the time and we joke about giving him an hour head start to get where he's going in
Columbia before we leave.

Graham's a loser, a liar and his own caucus ignores him. The Republicans let him get away with his antics on the floor because they haven't figured out yet how not to look bad for attacking him. The Democrats don't respect him and never expect him to hold a filibuster for more than an 30 minutes, and that's pushing it.
