Former Carthage man new Schreiber's CEO

David Pozniak, who joined Schreiber Foods as a production supervisor in 1974, has been named the company's president and CEO, according to a news release. Pozniak earned his master's degree at Drury University in Springfield:

Larry Ferguson will become chairman of the board and David Pozniak will become president and chief executive officer at Schreiber Foods effective today.

The moves are in accordance with executive succession plans approved by the Schreiber Foods board of directors.

"I'm very proud of how Schreiber Foods has grown during my time as president and CEO," Ferguson said. "I have great confidence in David and am very optimistic about the future of Schreiber Foods."

Pozniak thanked Ferguson for his leadership in creating and enhancing company value. "By any measure, Larry has had an enormous positive impact on our company," Pozniak said. "I'm very pleased to follow a leader who has driven so many improvements and so much growth."
