Former KODE anchor diagnosed with breast cancer


Former KODE anchor Tracy Turner, also a former reporter at KSPR in Springfield, has been diagnosed with breast cancer, according to KSPR.
If memory serves correctly, Ms. Turner was at KODE from about 1999 to 2002. I remember that in the summer of 1999, she did a nice feature on The Carthage Press' teenage reporters Brooke Pyle and Jana Blankenship.
Ms. Turner told her current station WHSV in Virginia:

"I went through several tests, not only the biopsies, but a mammography and an ultrasound to look at the lump, but with different kinds of cancers, it's harder to see, and my lump was fairly big. There was nothing that showed up."


KSPR says Ms. Turner is returning to her family home in Idaho to undergo further treatment. Cards may be sent to her at this address:
