Legislative committees pour money into Ruestman account


Rep. Marilyn Ruestman received $18,850 of her $26,525 in contributions during the past three months through the tried-and-true legislative committee laundry system, according to her quarterly disclosure report filed today with the Missouri Ethics Commission.
The top amounts, $3,250 and $2,960, came from the local 126th and 127th district committees, but she also received $1,600 apiece from seven committees, most of them with St. Charles addresses, and $1,500 from another committee, according to the records.
Ms. Ruestman spent $3,511.34 during the quarter, leaving her with $85,650.51 in her account.
