Only three percent of the vote has been counted in the Nevada Democratic caucuses, which started a couple of hours later than the Republican caucuses, but Barack Obama has the early lead with 48 percent to 46 percent for Hillary Clinton and five percent for John Edwards.
Edwards pulled most of his operation out of Nevada earlier this week to concentrate on South Carolina and the states with Feb. 5 primaries.
