McDonald County Circuit Court records indicate that public defender Michael King, Carthage, who was assigned to defend accused childkiller David W. Spears, will also represent Spears in a drunk driving case.
A 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 4, hearing is scheduled in McDonald County Circuit Court in the drunk driving case, which has been pending since Feb. 22, 2007.
Spears, 25, Stella, is in the Barry County Jail, awaiting trial on charges of the first degree murder, forcible rape, and statutory rape of his nine-year-old stepdaughter Rowan Ford.
Spears' friend, Chris Collings, 32, Wheaton, will have an arraignment Jan. 22 in Barry County Circuit Court on the same charges.
