Rowan Ford's mother divorces accused killer

Newton County Circuit Court records indicate Colleen Spears' marriage to the man accused of killing her nine-year-old daughter Rowan Ford is over.
Judge Greg Stremel finalized the dissolution during a Jan. 14 hearing, also granting a name change to Mrs. Spears, restoring her maiden name of Munson.
The next hearing for her former husband David Spears and his co-defendant Chris Collings, who are charged with first degree murder, forcible rape, and statutory rape, is scheduled for March 18 in Barry County Circuit Court.

Too bad she couldn't have been that diligent when picking the men she left alone with her daughter. The signs were there. She chose to look the other way. I have no sympathy for her. She belongs behind bars also.

Ditto to Joe. The lady wasn't even that upset IMO during most of the interviews w/ the media. Some people react different to situations, but to a child being murdered.....come on.

that lady scares me ! I know she has been thru alot but like the above posters said the signs were there and she SHOULD be held just as accountable for her daughters death.

To Joe, it is sad that you judge someone who has lost their daughter. Have you ever thought that you are not the best person for your spouse or loved one? Plain and simple, the mother has lost her daughter, something no one should ever do.

If we locked up every woman in this area who had bad judgement in men, then there wouldn't be hardly any women on the streets! Granted, Colleen's was on a larger scale, but she isn't psychic. You can't look at a person and know he will become a child raping baby killer. And perhaps she was busy making a living to support this clown, ever think of that? Poor judgement yes, but criminal? No, Colleen didn't decide to rape and kill that kid, those two men did. And she didn't cry profusely enough on television for you? Fat Boy cried his eyes out and he was one of the perps!!!

OR every stupid man picking a woman like himself there would be plenty of them picked up and charged also.
I could look at that man and see creepy......you couldn't/can't?
IF she was making a living "supporting this clown" shouldn't that have been a great sign that he wasn't that good to keep around. I mean if you had to fee him, clothe him and mother him you should just decide to let him go unless you are there to raise the guy.
No...Colleen wasn't there when this happened to her precious child but it was her that let the creep in the front door and it was also she that slept with him. Why did she not know him????
