Springfield assistant superintendent finalist for Tacoma post

Springfield Assistant Superintendent Charles Stockton is one of eight finalists for the superintendent of schools position in Tacoma, Wash.:

Charles Stockton, assistant to the superintendent of the 23,800-student Springfield (Mo.) Public Schools. Stockton holds a bachelor’s degree in data processing/information systems, a bachelor’s degree in business education, a master’s degree in school administration and a doctorate in educational administration. He taught business and computer education in middle and high schools in Cherryvale, Kan., was a high school principal there and held two superintendencies before going to work in Springfield.


Interviews are scheduled to begin next week.
