Bowman receives probation in bank, credit card fraud case


Former Rep. John Bowman, D-St. Louis, was given probation today, following a 15-minute session in federal court in St. Louis.

Bowman as reported in previous editions of The Turner Report, pleaded guilty in February to bribing a bank official. He will be placed on probation for five years, according to court records.

He was also ordered to repay nearly $20K. I was very disappointed in Rep. Bowman when this was first reported, but feel he has redeemed himself in my and many eyes. I wish him the best of luck.
