A federal court judge today authorized the appointment of public defenders for Laverne Dupont, wife of Anderson Guest House owner Robert Dupont, and their daughter Kelley Wheeler.
A grand jury indicted the Duponts, Ms. Wheeler, and Joplin River of Life Ministries earlier this month on charges including Medicaid fraud and money laundering. The indictment was unsealed Monday.
An arraignment and scheduling conference is scheduled for 2 p.m. May 15 in Springfield.
