Ritchey Mansion damaged by tornado

Just two days after President Bush signed legislation authorizing a study to determine the feasibility of making Newtonia into a federal Civil War battlefield location, the site most associated with the war, the Ritchey Mansion, was damaged by the tornado that wreaked considerable damage in the city, according to an article posted on the Neosho Daily News website.
