Chris Koster is hanging on to a 678-vote lead with only 16 precincts out of 3,515 remaining to be counted.
Koster has 118,078 votes to 117,406 for Margaret Donnelly, or 34.3 to 34.1 percent. Jeff Harris is far back in third with 25 percents, while Molly Williams had 6.7 percent.
