Rita Hunter picks up $5,400 from legislative district committees

A 24-hour report filed Wednesday with the Missouri Ethics Commission shows Jasper County Public Administrator Rita Hunter, who was soundly defeated last week in her re-election attempt, received $5,400 Monday from eight legislative district committees.

The 12th, 14th, 15th, 16th, 17th, 18th, 19th, and 23rd district committees, all listing an address of P. O. Box 1742, St. Charles, Mo., each contributed $675 to Mrs. Hunter's campaign.

Now why in the world would legislative committees from far outside Jasper County be contributing thousands of dollars into a campaign for a seemingly minor county office? Especially when you consider the election is already over and the candidate lost.

Why in the world is she not being investigated? The Hunter's just don't know when to stop do they? And all district committees have the same address, which is so far out of this area. I have one questions for Rita, are you doing your laundry before you have to leave your office?

The election is over Rita, you lost. Randy is so right to question your ethics here, but then that would be a word that doesn't exist in your vocabulary.
