Steelman has late $200,000 advantage in governor's race

Missouri Ethics Commission documents indicate that while Kenny Hulshof has raised more money for the GOP governor's race, Sarah Steelman has had a $200,000 advantage on the Congressman in money available during the last two weeks of the campaign.

Mrs. Steelman had $503,318.81 in the bank at the eight-day reporting period. Since that time, drawing largely on legislative committees, she has added $142,448.72, giving her $645,767.53 to spend on a final push. She has raised $2,088,066.17, according to Ethics Commission documents.

While Mrs. Steelman had $645,767.53, Hulshof had $466,772.22, with $426,772.22 at the eight-day reporting period, and $40,000 in late contributions. He has raised $2,411,037.29 during the election.
