Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee thanked the elite media for doing something he did not think could be done- bringing together the Republican party.
After that, Huckabee showed how to hold the interest of the audience, mixing in well-delivered laugh lines, including noting that Sarah Palin received more votes in her race for mayor than Joe Biden received in his run for the presidency.
Huckabee spoke of John McCain's bravery and praised all of those who have served this country.
"We wish we would all remember being American is not just about the freedom we have but those who gained it for us."
