Richard campaign account at $121,000

Speaker-in-waiting Ron Richard's 30 days after election report, filed today with the Missouri Ethics Commission, shows the Joplin Republican with $121,781.76 in his account. Richard reported raising $7,500 and spending $38,853.84.

Curiously, one $1,000 contribution, far above the limit, was given by Dale Turvey, Chesterfield on Aug. 25, three days before the new law removing contribution limits went into effect.

Those giving the previous maximum $325 contributions to Richard included:

St. Louis RCGA PAC; Laborers Local Union No. 319, Joplin; Burns & McDonnell, Kansas City; LONDA PAC, Lake Ozark; Adele Hall, Shawnee Mission, Kan.; Don Hall, Kansas City; HCA Missouri Good Government Fund, Jefferson City; Ameren UE PAC, Jefferson City; Monsanto, St. Louis; Motor Carrier Public Affairs, Jefferson City

Richard's biggest expenditure, $25,000, went to the House Republican Campaign Committee.
