Speaker-in-waiting Ron Richard, R-Joplin, appears to be doing everything he can to make sure his party maintains its majority in the House, thus making him the new speaker next January.
Richard contributed $25,000 to the House Republican Campaign Committee on Aug. 29, according to a filing with the Missouri Ethics Commission.
