Unions continue funneling money to Nixon

Attorney General Jay Nixon, whose campaign has benefited greatly from the contributions of unions, continued that trend Thursday, adding $59,375 to his account, including a $25,000 donation from Sheet Metal Workers Local 36, St. Louis; and $9,375 from Teamsters Local 838 PAC, Kansas City.
Nixon also picked up a $25,000 contribution from Industry Advancement Fund, St. Louis.

Nixon's opponent in the race for governor, Congressman Kenny Hulshof, did not file any 48-hour reports Thursday.

At this point, Nixon has received $3,538,000 in oversized contributions, while Hulshof has collected $3,082,024.17.
