When former Rep. Scott Muschany, R-Frontenac, comes to trial on a felony charge of deviate sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl, a Clay County jury will be brought in to hear his case.
That decision was issued Jan. 29 by Cole County Circuit Court Judge Richard Callahan.
Muschany, who supported the death penalty for child rapists, is scheduled to come to trial Thursday, March 19.
Muschany resigned from the House of Representatives in September.
