If things went according to schedule, convicted killer Dennis Skillicorn should be drawing his final breath in the next few moments.
Skillicorn's efforts to receive a stay of execution during the final hours were rejected by Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito, federal court judges, and state court judges.
Gov. Jay Nixon also rejected Skillicorn's request for clemency.
