A quick reminder: The kickoff barbecue for the East Newton Charitable Foundation is scheduled for 5 p.m. Saturday in the west parking lot at the high school.
The event is free for East Newton alumni or patrons. Serving will begin at 5 p.m. with entertainment beginning at 6:30 p.m. with our group, Natural Disaster, followed at 7:30 p..m. by DeWayne Bowman.
Those who cannot attend and want to make a contribution to help the foundation, which is designed to provide funding for projects throughout the school district can make out a check or money order to:
