KSNF hopes to return to air next week

KSNF officials hope to have the station back on the air next week, according to a notice on the Four States Home Page website, and an interview given by KSNF anchor (and news director for KSNF and KODE) Jim Jackson on KODE earlier this week.

The station has been off the air since its tower collapsed May 8.

KSN news personnel have been putting out updates on the Four States Home Page since the tower fell.

I have enjoyed watching the Springfield news on KY3, which is running in place of KSN's news. Joplin doesn't need three newscasts (four if you count Fox).

I wish we would have been able to watch KY3, Cable One put an NBC station from out west in KSNF's place, so everything is two hours behind.

I have heard several comments where people have stated that they wished that KY3 would stay.

Though no one there is forward looking enough to even think of it, and Nexstar is not ever going to allow it, they would be well served to combine staffs and do true, strong newscasts that cover all of the viewing area. It's the only hope they have of ever truly hoping to beat KOAM. It would take a local owner to accomplish unfortunately, and that just isn't going to happen.

Their absence has been a fresh breeze..looks like hot stuffy news is coming back...KOAM beats them all.

Jackson needs to move on...

You haven't missed anything with KY3. They are so stiff and the sports guy is absolutely AWFUL! How in he world he is on the air is beyond me. The first night I just thought it was a bad joke. It makes you realize how good KSN and Jackson really are and how good we have it for a small market. I cannot even watch KOAM or KODE.....although KODE is a bit better these days. Can't wait for them to be back on the air.
