I believe Tom is a Lamar native, a brother-in-law of Jim Fanning who is best known for his costly term as CEO of Barton County Electric.
The last we heard, the Fannings have moved to Springfield, and Jim's wife was assisting Tom in his office.
That would make the Fanning home in Lamar the "vacation" home? Perhaps he could rent it to the REA Board for a retreat site . . .
The Fanning's have moved out of the big house. Taken the big generator and anything else that's loose. It's very possible you will see the day it is sold on the courthouse steps. If you really want a piece of the Fanning's estate you may purchase 40 acres off of the farm for $140,000.00.
