Rep. Allen Icet, R-Wildwood, a candidate for state auditor, received a $5,000 contribution from the Missouri Leadership Committee Sept. 8, according to a 48-hour report filed with the Missouri Ethics Commission.
The Missouri Leadership Committee, which is connected to House Majority Leader Steve Tilley, R-Perryville, has former Rep. Tom Burcham as its treasurer. Burcham, as you may recall, is the person who is suing the city of Joplin and other cities across Missouri, saying they have illegal sales taxes.
