An escaped Florida felon who has been hiding in Taney County for 26 years plans to fight extradition and he has one of Missouri's top defense lawyers to help him.

Online court records indicate Oscar Richardson is being defended by Springfield attorney Dee Wampler, who has handled some of the biggest cases in the state for years. Richardson escaped from a Florida prison 30 years ago and was captured today. Taney County Circuirt Court Judge Tony Williams released him on $25,000 bond.
