A motions hearing for the two men accused of the October 2008 murders of Bob and Ellen Sheldon of Carthage, is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. Monday in Jasper County Circuit Court.
Online court records indicate supplemental reports from the Jasper County Sheriff's Department investigation of the case, including "comments made by Darren Winans in reference to the Sheldon homicides consisting of six pages" have been filed in response to discovery.
Winans, 22, Jasper, and Matthew Laurin, 20, Springfield, face two counts of murder, two counts of armed criminal action and a single count of burglary.
