Stouffer criticizes Skelton debt ceiling vote

Sen. Bill Stouffer, a Republican candidate for the Fourth District Congressional seat currently held by Ike Skelton, ripped into the incumbent earlier this week for his vote to increase the debt ceiling:

Today, Ike Skelton voted to increase our nation’s debt ceiling by $290 billion. Instead of making the tough choices needed to balance our budget, Skelton voted to saddle the next generation with another mountain of debt. Once again, even though 39 Democrats opposed this massive increase in debt, Ike Skelton continued his practice of voting with Nancy Pelosi 95 percent of time. Missourians deserve a Congressman who represents their values in Washington.”
